I have resumed my walks! I must say my homeland is beautiful and there is wonderful walks with amazing views but to get to these amazing scenery most of the time you have to use a car to get there and back.

Been back home for 2 weeks now. Surprisingly the garden did not suffer to much my girls did a good job although with the intense heat my hydrangeas did suffer somewhat.

While here in Essex all I have to do is walk down my road either turn left or right and soon you’ll be in the middle of the countryside with a vast open space witnessing the hay making.

One of the things that my friend Paula and I have noticed there isn’t many insects about, not that many years back I remember a vast amount buzing around us as we walked along, not so much now not many butterflies too!

On my last walk managed to take a photo of a gatekeeper also have seen the peacock butterfly in my garden but not many even the common blue is becoming scarse oh I do worry we need the insects for pollination!

Same here with the bees and other insects, except that there are way more black flies that bite! It’s because of the damp air, I think.

Oh yes here too. Also wasps I find that they seem to be surviving OK.
When we arrived home we found that they made themselves at home in air vent in my bathroom hence damaging the extracter fan.

Ouch! I’ve had that happen here too. When we got a new roof put on, the roofers first had to deal with a wasp nest in the bathroom air vent.
