walking through winter

Walking gives me so much pleasure. Living in a village one does not need to use the car. Just step out of my front door either left or right and a few steps down the road I find myself in open fields.

In these hard times of covid 19 if it wasn’t for the countryside I would’ve been pulling my hair out! My friend and I have been walking on the roads because the fields has been so saturated, and its not easy walking in our favorite spots as so many footpaths had been under water.

Yesterday we took a chance and took the John Ray footpath so much better walking! Better than walking on busy roads. John Ray was a famous botanist and considered to be the Father of natural history he was born in Black Notly thats why the footpath from Braintree to Witham is called John Ray.
